The book «Machine Translation», published by the BDÜ Weiterbildungs- und Fachverlagsgesellschaft mbH, provides an outline of the major aspects of this extraordinary technology.
Its contributors are experts from the world of research and development and academia, consultants, lawyers and translators. The book also includes reports from renowned institutions and companies where machine translation is utilised successfully.
My article is a report of my many years of experience as a post-editor and, in particular, discusses methods of project management (from enquiry to final delivery), the working environment, productivity, and relationships with colleagues who are not involved in post-editing.
